So, is it more of a long-term "happiness" to take a bigger chunk out of everyone's paycheck to move towards the "democratic socialist welfare state" like Scandinavia, Canada, Germany, Britain, and much of Europe? Or do we insist on lower tax rates while we shell out the $$ for our own college or training, our medications and hospital visits, and hundreds of programs that may have been cut by those opposed to "tax and spend"? P.S.
