A 2000 v signle phase synchorunus generator isbeing used as abackup generator outside a diagnostic center in Islamabad . whenthe generator terminals are short circuited and a field exicationcurrent if 2.5 A is passed, the ammeter between the terminals read100 A of full load current . if this terminals of the samegenerator are opened and the voltage across them is measured usinga voltmeter , we get the value of 500V with the same exciatationcureent . the armature resistance is 0.8 ohms.
Determine the voltage regulation of this generator if it isdelivering 100 A during normal operating with unity power factor ,100A with 0.8 leading PF and with 0.71 lagging PF
