Assume the exit states of the condenser and the feedwaterheater are both saturated liquids. The turbine and pump isentropicefficiencies are 100%.

  1. Draw the T-s diagram and determine the thermal efficiency forthe cycle and the total turbine work per unit boiler mass flow rate(kJ/kg)
  2. Repeat the problem in part 1, but replace the open feed waterheater with a closed feed water heater where the extracted steam ispumped to the boiler pressure before being combined with thecondenser feed water
  3. Repeat the problem in part 2, but where the extracted steam isthrottled from the closed feed water heater exit to thecondenser
