An experiment has been initiated in a laboratory whererecombinant DNA technology has been used to substitute the generesponsible for change of colour in chameleon with another generesponsible for “glowin-the-darkâ€. If this experiment issuccessful, chameleons carrying the “glow-in-the-dark†gene willnot be able to change their colours any longer. Discuss theimplication of these results in terms of ethics and conservationbiology.
