Choose one of the disorders in the DSM-5. Identify 2 clinicalmeasures that can be used as part of a psychiatric/clinicalinterview when evaluating for this disorder. For instance, theremay be a clinical measure, such as the Beck Depression Inventory,that has been researched for it's effectiveness in assessingdepression. You can find examples of clinical measures used forspecific diagnoses at the end of each chapter in The ClinicalAssessment Workbook by Pomeroy. They may also be called AssessmentInstruments or Standardized Measures.
You will then be researching articles that discuss and evaluateeach clinical measure.
For EACH measure,
Discuss the usefulness of the measure for assessment purposesfor the disorder discussed.
You need to specify the reliability coefficient.
Identify what types of validity were assessed and give a briefdescription.
Identify the subjects used in the study that assessed thereliability and validity.
Specify the type of reliability that was assessed and give abrief description; identify who developed the measure and for whatpurpose.
Identify the various sub-scales of the measure and theconstructs they assess.
