Metaphor 1:cat feet
Answer: means the fog moves in stealthily and silently like acat moves.
Metaphor 2: eyes were candles
Answer: means that you could feel and see that her eyes were theone thing that most expressive and showed that she was alive,present and bright in an otherwise misty serene environment wherenot much detail could be seen.
Metaphor 3: banged town
Answer: gives the impression that the town's been hit hard bythe festivities and weather. ( This one was kind of hard tounderstand but that's my best guess at what \"banged town\" mightmean. ??
Metaphor 4: possessed all earth and air
Answer: means that for a short time the car took over theenvironment/space and time so it was only thing you could see, hearand feel before it moved in to background/distance again like a\"droning bee\" Metaphor 5:frowning arch creates the feeling that thedoor/entrance is ominous or menacing, dark and uninviting
