Dihybrid crosses of (virtual) fruit flies (Drosophilamelanogaster) were carried out at the computer lab at this course.The mutant alleles studied were “vestigial wing†(vg) and “ebonybody†(eb). The mutant Pâ€generation flies were homozygous recessiveat both studied loci. The wild type alleles were homozygousdominant at both loci. The loci for vestigial wing and ebony bodyare located at separate chromosomes. Show the Punnett crosses fromthe Pâ€generation to the F1â€generation of mutant and wild typeflies, and the Punnett cross when two individuals from theF1â€generation were crossed.
