During the first half of the class, we've covered thesociological imagination in some detail. Also, we'vecovered some of the most important structural forces at work ineach of our lives: race (Week 3); class (Week4); and gender andsexuality (Week 5). In this CAP assignment, I'd like you to thinkabout how biography, social structure, and history have intersectedin your life and culminated in the person you are today. Give me asense of the biographical experiences that make up who you are, perhaps highlighting key individual moments in yours life.Additionally, show how these biographical experiences were nestedwithin a certain social context (i.e. structure) and historicalperiod. Most importantly: write critically and creativelyand use your sociological imagination. For some guidance for howthis all comes together, see my (informal) illustration in the Week#2 Lecture Notes and note how I analyze biography, socialstructure, and history.
