First, think back to my discussion of the social construction ofreality and, specifically, my discussion of how we “know†aboutthings we don’t have direct experience with in life. Talk methrough an example of that from your own life. You could discusssomething you’ve not experienced directly and only “know†aboutbecause someone told you about it. Or you could discuss a situationwhere at one point you only “knew†what others have told you aboutsomething but then experienced it—how did that experience changewhat you “knewâ€? Finally, why do you think I keep putting “knowâ€and “knew†inside quotation marks?
