For an addiction agency that treats through group or individualsettings. Interview at least two experienced social workers in youragency or another community agency. Ask about their level of jobsatisfaction, as well as their strategies of self-care. What dothey think job satisfaction is related to? Self-care, jobrequirements, or something else? Ask them what stressors they dealwith and what advice they may have for how you should deal withthem: focus specifically on those stressors related to the field ofsocial work. Were you surprised about what they said? Prepare aone- to two-page report that summarizes the interviews. Write anadditional page on how you plan to integrate self-care whilecompleting the program and your field placement, and thenthroughout your social work career. Also, address how you will dealwith stress as a social worker. Your submission should be two tothree pages in length.
