Psychologists need to have an awareness of and respect forindividual, cultural, and role differences, including those basedon age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, race,ethnicity, etc. Psychologists are to ensure that they are aware ofthe scientific and professional knowledge of these differences andacquire the competencies necessary to perform their roleseffectively.
