According to a workplace violence report issued by the FBI'sCritical Incident Response Group, bullying, if left unchecked, mayresult in more serious violent behavior.
The Workplace Bullying Institute (WBI) notes that researchfindings "have confirmed that targets appear to be the veteran andmost skilled person in the workgroup . . . Insecure bosses andcoworkers can't stand to share credit for the recognition oftalent. Bully bosses steal credit from skilled targets."
The WBI also says that "The most easily exploited targets arepeople with personalities founded on a prosocial orientation—adesire to help, heal, teach, develop, nurture others."
