Scenario :
Middle School Building Project: The new middle school buildingincludes classrooms, offices and administrative spaces, diningcommons with kitchen, and media center. Additional spaces that maybe part of the final design include auditorium, gymnasium andathletic fields.
Building construction may consist of a multi-story masonry andsteel load bearing building with elevated slabs, poured in-placeconcrete retaining walls and associated underground waterproofing.Exterior finish materials may include brick veneer, aluminumstorefront and curtain wall, and aluminum composite wall panels.Interior finish materials may include masonry and drywallpartitions, brick veneer, cementitious terrazzo flooring, VCT andcarpet tile, and lay-in acoustical tile ceiling. Roofing systemsinclude TPO single ply roof system or standing seam metal roofingsystem. Building systems include forced air mechanical systems,plumbing, fire protection, electrical, communications, security anddata systems.
Site construction consists of work on approximately 20 acres,including erosion and sediment control measures, clearing andgrubbing, storm water piping and retention ponds, building padpreparation, utilities including a forced main sanitary system,temporary and permanent parking areas and driveways, bus loop,concrete walks, areas of concrete, fencing and other miscellaneoussite work.
