Question

Finance

Some of you own your home now, and others of you will be buying a home in the near future. In our neck of the woods, fees are typically 6% of the selling price, all paid by the seller. 3% of this goes to the selling agent and 3% goes to the buyer's agent. As a homeowner myself, I have never understood why realtor commissions are so high, especially as the world has moved from analog to digital. There is an argument, however, that realtors are worth their fees. After all, you do not want to mess up what will likely be the largest financial transaction/investment you make in your lifetime.
