Succession/resilience/fire ecology: Should ecosystems that arehighly resistant to disturbance also be highly resilient, or, wouldthey be inversely related where resistant ecosystems would have lowresilience (and vice versa)?   There is no knownconsistent answer to this in the ecology literature, so providingjustification for one position or providing logical arguments forboth positions would be perfectly acceptable.
