Water at 20°C flows up a vertical pipe of circular section andinternal diameter of 2 inches and height of 12 metres at avolumetric flow rate of 6.7 litres per second. Estimate the changein pressure between the bottom and the top of the pipe if:
i. The inner walls of the pipe are assumed to be hydraulicallysmooth,
ii. The pipe is fabricated from cast iron and explain how yousolved (ii) above.
